What's been going on with us

So, it's been a while since I've posted anything here but I don't think many people look at this anyway so it's mostly just for me to put up a few pictures of my kids and feel like I'm trying. But, here are a few updates, in case anybody reads this and even just for my own "journaling":
-Spring semester finished with 4.0s for both Nathan and myself. I think Nathan worked really hard, at least he was gone a lot and seemed really stressed most of the time. I know I worked really super hard and am SO proud of my A's in anatomy and organic/biological chemistry. I just hope I can keep it up for the next semester.
-We moved to a bigger apartment. It's in the same court, same building even, but the move over and up three flights of stairs was a killer. I have bruises across my thighs from boxes and furniture hitting my legs as I climbed. But, the new place is a lot bigger and it's nice to be out of the basement. Maybe someday when we get everything settled in and looking like a home again, I'll post some pictures.
-I got a job as a CNA. As part of my nursing school application, they want some sort of clinical, direct patient care experience, so I had to get a job. It's at an assisted living facility in Bountiful and a pretty nice place to work. The other staff are great, the residents are great, the place is super cushy and nice, and because it's assisted living, I don't have to do too much toileting and poopy stuff.
-Nathan's been doing consulting work with his dad at a refinery in New Orleans. He's been building a web application for some of their safety tracking something something something (I don't really follow all of it). Mostly he gets to work from home, but he has had to be on-site a little and has to leave us all alone while he goes and works in New Orleans. It pays well so I can't complain too much!
I think that's about it for now. I'll try to post here more often so at least I can keep up on what's happening around me.

Happy Birthday to my Rachel!

Rachel is 3 today! Happy Birthday to my little girl!

22 March 2011

My family came to town for a quick visit during their spring break. Sarah was the only one who was smart enough to pull out the camera and take a few pictures of the weekend. We had lots of fun running around Provo, chasing ducks at the BYU duck pond, playing games with the Morgan Jefferys, eating ice cream for breakfast, and staying up till midnight together. Also, Uncle Joey, our recently returned missionary, was able to be re-introduced to his nieces. They loved connecting the face to the name that they pray for on a daily basis!

Hopscotch fun

The weather is a littler warm this week and the snow has mostly melted, so we had to get out a play! Sarah and Rachel awed me with their amazing hopscotch abilities. Sarah jumped like a pro from one leg to two and back. They especially liked doing it at the same time and trying to catch each other. Here's some pictures I got of the fun.

Ice Skating

The University Villages where we live sponsored a free ice skating day yesterday, so we took the girls for their first time on ice skates. I think they both did really well!

30 January 2011

Sarah's hair is finally long enough for me to curl, and she let me! With a little hairspray it actually stayed in the whole day too.
Rachel has learned how to say the "L" sound and we got a great little video clip of it. Beware, it will induce laughter and maybe a few giggles :)

Christmas time

My tree is set up, my girls wore their Christmas dresses for the first time this year, "O Holy Night" is playing on my Pandora list, hot chocolate is a nightly treat, there are little scraps of white paper all over the house from my snowflake making obsession, I get to wear my green and red scarf everyday this month, and we're already 6 days into our advent calender - I LOVE Christmas!!!
